Weirdo

This weekend, I started becoming quite fond of this board. (Pictures below were taken from Ebay where I bought the board two years ago.) I am growing a little concerned, however, that a 30-year-old board is more fragile than I think and I should not be surfing this thing. I'm starting to have dings open up. The glass underneath is kind of the consistency of the center of a Butterfinger bar. I might have to do some fixing before it goes out again. Any insight from the shapers and glassers out there?

I'll try to get pictures and measurements next week. This weekend, I'm off to Vegas, baby!

Wow, Rod Stewart's old band shaped your board!?!?? It's a collector's item. But really, it's approaching wall hanger status I think. You could have a duplicate made easy enough for regular use.

you may have hit the point where the glass n foam have a tenuous bond. Fixiting it would be like finxing plumbing.. fix one part, and it breaks the part it's attached to.. the domino effect. You could go for a full restore if you really love it...
BTW - the bonzer idea for a longboard may be wortha try after talking with the Campbell Bros.. at least on a performance type longy...
